There are moments in life that divide everything into before and after.
For our family, one of those moments came in 2013, when my son and Faith Real Apparel co-owner, Christopher, was involved in a devastating automobile accident. He suffered a traumatic brain injury and could not walk, talk, or recognize anyone—not himself or even me. The doctors did not know whether he would pull through.

The accident also brought heartbreaking loss when Christopher’s girlfriend passed away. As our family grieved, we prayed and waited, not knowing whether my son would survive. We had no control over what would happen next. We could only hold on to God.
Prayer Reached Around the World
As word spread, prayer warriors began lifting Christopher up. Family, friends, fellow officers, and people we had never met prayed for him. Prayers came from around the world—including Poland and a Rabbi in Jerusalem.
A friend brought holy water from Fátima, Portugal, and a priest came to Christopher’s bedside to anoint him. When we were too exhausted, frightened, and heartbroken to find the words ourselves, others stood in the gap for us. Every prayer and act of faith reminded us that God was near and that we were not alone.
Christopher pulled through by the grace of God.
His survival did not erase our grief or make the road ahead easy. Faith does not mean pain disappears or every question is answered. It means trusting God when we cannot see beyond the moment in front of us.
“For we walk by faith, not by sight.” —2 Corinthians 5:7
A Long Road Back
Surviving was only the beginning. Christopher faced years of physical and occupational therapy, rebuilding abilities most of us take for granted. Progress came through long days, small victories, setbacks, excellent medical care, perseverance, and continual faith in God.
After approximately three years of rehabilitation, Christopher accomplished something that once seemed impossible: he returned to his work with the Cook County Sheriff’s Office. Today, he continues to serve others and is an active member of his Bible study group at work. His life is a testimony to prayer, perseverance, and faith.
We will always be grateful for the doctors, nurses, therapists, first responders, fellow officers, loved ones, and countless prayer warriors who walked beside us. God worked through many hands and hearts during Christopher’s recovery.
Faith Is More Than Something We Say
That season changed how we understand faith. Faith is not only for peaceful Sunday mornings. It is for hospital waiting rooms, unbearable loss, unanswered questions, and moments when the future is unknown.
Faith does not mean we never feel afraid, exhausted, or heartbroken. Real faith reaches for God in the middle of those emotions. It trusts when fear is loud and takes the next step without seeing the entire path.
That truth is woven into the heart of Faith Real Apparel.
Why We Created Faith Real Apparel
Faith Real Apparel was created to encourage people to live their faith openly and carry God’s truth into everyday life. Our Scripture-inspired apparel and gifts are reminders of who God is, what He has brought us through, and where our hope is found.
A shirt, hoodie, cap, necklace, mug, or journal cannot create faith—but it can express it. It can begin a conversation about Jesus, encourage someone who is struggling, or remind the person wearing it that God is present, prayer is powerful, and grace can meet us in unexpected places.

Our hope is that Faith Real Apparel helps believers carry the truth of God’s Word through every chapter—not only when life is easy, but especially when it is not.
Our Story Is a Testimony of Faith Being Lived
Christopher’s journey is not a claim that faith prevents tragedy. Our family knows what it means to grieve one life while praying desperately for another. We also know what it means to be held by God when our own strength is gone.
We believe Christopher is here today because of the grace of God. His life reminds us that hope can remain when circumstances feel hopeless, prayer can unite people around the world, and faith is often strongest when it has been tested.
That is why our message is deeply personal:
Faith isn’t just worn. It’s REAL. It’s Lived.
Faith is how we endure, heal, serve, remember, and keep moving forward—one step, one prayer, and one day at a time.
